The classic tote bag
Of course, the word tote - ‘to carry’ - is from African origin and came into English via the Creole language, Gullah. If one looks back into history, virtually every culture for centuries had all genders wearing a form of bag in which to carry their belongings. Inspired by that simple sense of purpose, we worked with the famed Walco Leather (est. 1943 in NYC, now in its third generation family) using soft fine grain calfskin from Italy and recycled vintage English brass, to create an exclusive bag with a highly limited number produced - call it what it is: quintessential, an heirloom meant to be passed from generation to generation.
