Tom Fallick lives part of his life in a wooden hut by the beach at Thorness Bay on the English, Isle of Wight (a hurray for Queen Victoria’s summer residence), where he has stripped his life of many ‘mod-cons’ such as running water and electricity. And as he says, this organic simple way of living has helped him appreciate the little things in his life that one can so easily take for granted. So, of course, it’s the perfect environment to really explore the art of spoon carving. He lovingly carves every spoon from reclaimed timber like spalted beech, or sycamore - reflecting his belief that one should be accountable for everything one buys or sources, and fully respect that. We work with Tom to create wooden items with this very ethos. Use and Care: Wash gently, finished with a natural blend of oils and wax.
