Walnut Rim Plate

Aesthetically pleasing and functional, these turned walnut wood plates are part of a vanishing American tradition that began over 150 years ago. Craftsmen turned bowls that were prized by families and passed from generation to generation.

Crafted from a single piece of premium hardwood in this very same tradition, each bowl is turned on a scoop lathe with very little waste conserving as much wood as possible. The bowls are then sanded silky-smooth and sealed. 

CARE: Wood bowls should not be soaked in water or used in a dishwasher or microwave. To clean the surface, a wet cloth or non-abrasive scrub pad should be used. Following cleaning, dry the surface with a dry cloth. For all wood products utilized for kitchen use (including bowls, cutting boards and utensils) it is recommended that an occasional coating of beeswax polish be applied. This process preserves the moisture content of the wood.
