Handmade linen apron
In ancient Crete the goddess of fertility wore an apron. In the Middle Ages tradespeople wore them as practical delights, and today home cooks have taken over some of these customs. Even Dorothy, in the ‘Wizard of Oz’, wore one on her journey from Kansas to The Emerald City. With a wink to history, Lily Umyn, seasoned Ukrainian pattern maker (who worked at Marc Jacobs, and other fashion designers) created these bucolic aprons exclusively for us using linen from Japan as a badge of hospitality and generosity.
Use and Care: Normal cycle, warm machine wash, please.
